Alicia Francesca Stone, age 37, of Brighton Heights, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024; Beloved Wife of Peter L. Stone; Dog Mom of French Bulldog Marvin;  Daughter of William and Paula Heim (Moscow, PA);  Sister of Jennifer (Matthew) Roux (Brooklyn, NY) and Ian (Cate) Heim (New York, NY);  Aunt of Emerson and Xavier Roux, Eric and Ella Stone, Austin Jennings and Hayley Hunkle.

A proud alumna of North Pocono High School, Alicia went on to further her academic prowess at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a bachelors degree n Psychology with a minor in Dance.  Her passion for understanding the human mind was matched only by her love of movement and expression.  Her active involvement in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, both as a student and an alumna, showcased her commitment to fostering lifelong connections.  Post-graduation, Alicia contributed her talents as a researcher and published author with Dr. Dick Jennings earning the UPMC ACES award for excellence.  Later, Alicia continued her studies at the University of Pittsburgh to earn a master's degree in Clinical Psychology.  Her passion for psychology and mental health was reflected in her work as a transition counselor for  the Pittsburgh Public school system, where she dedicated her professional life to supporting and guiding students.  While in this role she was honored by the City of Pittsburgh for her involvement in their Stranger Awareness program.

Alicia's dedication to various community-oriented programs reflected her outgong and selfless nature.  She volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior League and the Special Olympics and regularly participated in charity events, exhibiting her unwavering commitment to helping others.

Those who knew Alicia remember her as outgoing, selfless, and eternally upbeat, always donning a smile that could brighten any room.  Her determined and hard-working spirit inspired many, and her steadfast belief in doing what was right guided her actions.  Alicia's legacy is one of warmth, strength, and an unwavering joy for life.  Her personality was a unique blend of determination and kindness - Alicia had an exceptional ability to uplift those around her.

Relatives and Friends will be received on Saturday December 14th  between 12:00 Noon and 6:00 pm at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212.

Additionally, a  Celebration to honor  Alicia's life will be held on January 11th with details to follow.
