Anthony L. Giba

Anthony L. Giba, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.  Beloved Son of the late John and Julia Giba; he was preceded in death by his Siblings, Annie "Sister Barbara, O.S.F." Giba, Mary Giba, Theresa Pappert, Paul Giba, Sister Bernadette Giba, OS.F., and Sister Rosalia Giba, O.S.F..  He also was preceded in  death by his Nephew, James Pappert;  Uncle of David and Lisa Pappert; Great-uncle of Jennifer Pappert (Joseph Sullivan); Great-Uncle of Tylor Foor and Joseph Sullivan; also survived by cousins and  Dear Friend  Donna Kramer.  Tony served in the Air Force.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the School Sisters of St. Francis, 4900 Perry Highway,  Suite 201,  Pittsburgh, PA   15229.  He was known as "Tuesday Tony" to the Sisters of Mt. Assisi, because he came faithfully every Tuesday to visit and spend time with his sister, Sister Rosalia.

Friends and Relatives will be received on Tuesday, September 17, 2024  from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212 where a Blessing Service will be held at 11:30 am after visitation.  Interment to follow in  Christ Our Redeemer, North Side Catholic Cemetery.
