Age 84, of Brighton Heights. Don was Mary Ann's  Beloved husband,  one and only love for over 50 years and her very best friend. Son of the late Anthony and Sophia; brother of Mildred (the late Robert) Weber, Sally Allen and the late Norma (Robert) Long; brother-in-law of Nick (Sue) Fuga, Nancy (the late Chester) Sciechowicz and Robert(Jackie) Fuga and family; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Don was a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer for 28 years and retired in 1993. He founded and coached the North Catholic Trojanettes in 1973 and retired in 1996. He was in the WPIAL Basketball Hall of Fame. Mary Ann would like to thank Catholic Hospice for their loving care who helped Don to remain in his own home, our personal caregiver, Deb, and all of our neighbors who sent love and encouragement every day for Don's recovery, especially Ed, who literally picked Don up both physically and mentally. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation's be made in Don's memory to: Little Sisters of the Poor ( 1028 Benton Avenue Pittsburgh,   PA  15212) or any no kill animal shelter.
