Dorothy V. Bachkay 96, formerly of Monongahela entered eternal life on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Facility. Born in Monongahela to Sue (Stank) and John W. In her senior years, she was active with the Monongahela Senior Center and was a regular and substitute driver for Meals on Wheels program. She was outgoing and loved people and helping wherever and whenever she could.
Leaving Monongahela in 2007, she took up residence at the newly renovated Jeanne Jugan apartments at the Little Sisters of the Poor. She lived independently for 9 years and 5 years in the St. Anne household.
She was devoted to her Catholic faith and had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. She prayed her rosary daily and attended Mass in the Chapel. She always prayed to the Holy Spirit.
