Dorothy Ann (Darges)Barthel

Dorothy Ann (Darges) Barthel, age 86, of Ross Township, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.  Beloved Mother of Valerie (Dean) Hess, Dan (Donna) Barthel and Tom (Cindy) Barthel; grandmother of Nathan (Fiancee Rachel) Hess, Molly Hess, Nicole Barthel and Alli Barthel; Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, the late Frank and Anna Darges, and her Aunt Margaret "Tat" Rutkauskas; Sister of Edward (Patricia) Darges; also survived by her nephews and her niece.

Dorothy was a Scrabble champion and a baker of delicious raisin bread and cookies.                                                    

Friends and Family will be received on Sunday from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212; A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Teresa Church, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, PA   15237.  Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, 1507 Hamilton Road, Pittsburgh, PA   15234 (Bethel Park, Baldwin Twp.)

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, PA   15237.
