George C. "Yudda" Puhac

Age 85, with his children by his side, George went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Father of Patricia McAffee, David Puhac, Debra (Robert) Kessler, Joseph, George, Steven (Tracey), Michael (Roberta), John (Rebecca), Ramona (Michael) Diehl, and Paul; dear friend of the late Mary Jane Casale; 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren;  nieces, Carol Turk, Mary (Raymond) Schellenberger and Kathleen Stapinsky.  George gardened like no other.  He grew weigelai, bleeding hearts, and many other perennial plants.  He loved when his children and grandchildren visited him and took him for rides and out to eat.  George he had a sense of humor about him that all his kids loved.  He enjoyed taking long walks and listening to classical music.  His favorite musicians were Engelbert Humperdinck and Barbara Streisand.  To pass the time he ventured to the casino to play slots and bet on dog and horse races.  He watched football every Sunday, and cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Due to Covid-19, there will be a  PRIVATE FAMILY VIEWING ONLY.   Family suggests donations to the Heart Association, 777 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 206, Pittsburgh, PA   15235-5927, or the Food Pantry, 1601 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA   15212.
