Son of the late John and Anna Backovski; Brother of George (late Patricia) Backovski and the late Margaret, Tessie, Dorothy, Mildred and Anna; also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was the owner of John's Meat Market in Ingomar, and he was an avid Pirates fan.
