John Andrew Kitchen

John (Jack) Andrew Kitchen passed away peacefully January 7, 2025 at the age of 92.  Jack is the father of daughters Janet (Wenger), Frances (Donovan), son Kenneth Kitchen and the late John Kitchen (Infant), Jacqueline (Waldron), Kathleen (Mitchell) and Robert John Kitchen.  He is also preceded in death by his parents, Joshua Kitchen and Rosella (Woods) and siblings James Kitchen, Joseph Kitchen, William Kitchen, Roseanna Kitchen, and wife, Loretta (Costa).

Jack is the grandfather of Sherry (Wenger) Ehrin, Melissa (Kitchen) Halligan Flaherty, Ron Mitchell, Patrick Donovan, Michael Kitchen, James Wenger, Jr., Kimberly (Mitchell) Hogan, Kristen Waldron, Joseph Donovan, Mark Waldron, Jr.., and the late Jamie Kitchen, Carie Wenger and Catrina Kitchen.  Jack is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Born on November 25, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jack was a quick-witted and generous man who will be remembered for his wisecracking sense of humor and his kindness.  He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg as a Track Vehicle Repairman, earning a National Defense Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  Later, he was a truck driver and owner of a forklift business:  Jax Equipment until retirement.

He will be missed by all who loved him.  May he rest in peace.  NO VISITATION, SERVICES AND INTERMENT PRIVATE (Private burial  in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies).
