Judith Ann (Wisniewski) Kovatch

Judith Ann (Wisniewski) Kovatch, age 74, of Whitehall, formerly of Mt. Washington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023; Judy is survived by her knight in shining armor of over 50 years, husband Charles F. Kovatch; She is the devoted and loving mother of Elizabeth A. (Bruce) Hamilton, Maribeth (Gregory) McManus, and Steven C. (Jennifer) Kovatch; The proud Nana of Eleana A . Hamilton, Dylan S. McManus, Kylie A. Kovatch, Kash C. Kovatch,  and Paige K. McManus; daughter of the late Steve Wisniewski and Eleanor  Wisniewski; Lifelong best friend and sister of:  Libby (Albert)  Chengery; also survived by children she loved as her own:  nieces Anne (David) Paolicelli and  Katie (Gregory) McGee;  and also her great-nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Delaney, Teresa, Mason, and Michael.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday December 27th from 1:00 - 8:00 pm at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh PA   15212.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in Christ Our Savior, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church. Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer, North Side Catholic Cemetery.

Judy was a nurse for many years caring for the elderly.  She took a break to raise her three children as well as many others.  She returned to nursing where she would retire so she could enjoy her grandchildren.   She cherished her years in Girl Scouts, loved shopping, and doing crafts.  But most of all she loved being with family on vacations, celebrating milestones, camping, going to the casino, and sharing her life with her one and only love.
