Marlene Ann (Mudry) Pfeiffer

Marlene Ann (Mudry) Pfeiffer entered this world Nov. 21, 1936, went home to the Lord June 28, 2024.  Marlene was a lifelong resident of Northside, Pittsburgh and a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church.  An exemplary student, Marlene was nominated valedictorian of her graduating class at David B. Oliver High School. She began a career as chief dietician at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Oakland, after graduating summa cum laude from Mount Mercy College.  She was a devoted wife to her husband, August Pfeiffer, who predeceased her.  Marlene will be dearly missed by her cousins Daniel Butchko, Eileen Fabert, Father Gerald Mikonis, Dr. John and William Straka, Atty. George Stephan, Martha, Denise, and Celeste Jupinko, Theresa Fratangelo, Robert, Thomas, and Gregory Bisesi, and special friends Carol Janicki, Frank Emmel, Helen Pyptyk, and Chateau Sircely.

Viewing will be at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave. Sunday June 30th, 3 pm - 7 pm.  Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, 1437 Superior Avenue Monday July 1, at 10 am with burial following in Highwood Cemetery.
