"A Ray of Light"
"The Gunner" will be more than remembered for his jovial approach to life with his unique and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. As a noble Marine, he carried the Corps ideals of incredible strength, integrity, honor and dignity by which he lived his life. Dad was a simple man who appreciated many of god's earthly gifts to man--most importantly, his love for the outdoors. This is where he chose to spend his free time with those he cherished most, fishing and hunting or just a quiet stroll on a beautiful Fall day through the woods, or "leaning into the wind" fishing along the river banks. As Dad was passing, he told me he was walking through the forest and asked me if I could see the trees drifting in the wind. With that, we should all know that Ray found his way home. Just as humble in death, as he was in life, no services will be held. For those who knew and loved him, we ask that you find a special place in your heart to keep his memory alive. "...There is a road, no simple highway, between the dawn and the dark of night, and if you go, no one may follow. That path is for your steps alone." NO VISITATION, SERVICES AND INTERMENT WERE PRIVATE. Arrangements by Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave., Pgh., PA 15212.
