William "Geno" Almara, Age 81, of the Northside, peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with Dementia, on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Loving Father of Bill (Amy); Son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Olean) Almara. Loving brother of James "Jim", and the late Joseph "Jack" and Robert "Bob". Survived by four nieces, many great-nieces and nephews; and Loving Father figure to great nephew, Ronnie.
Geno loved to spend his time socializing with his many friends, frequenting his favorite places: the Rosa Villa, Rochester Inn, Sunny Jim's, Kretzlers, and the German Club! He enjoyed sun bathing, working out at the YMCA, shopping, listening to music, eating Snickers candy, his long lunches, drinking his wine and "creating" his special salads! He also enjoyed wagering on his local sports teams! As we all know, Geno loved to dress, and always look his best!
Geno spent his final years at the Southwestern Veterans Center, and we would like to "thank" them for taking wonderful care of him. He was very well liked by everyone at the VA, but then again why wouldn't he have been! HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL!
